As promised in my last post I have finally made a decision on paint color for my master bedroom! After thinking about it for six months, painting 22 samples on the walls, and carrying around a thousand paint strips in my purse – I’ve finally decided to go with…
I sampled this color previously for my entry hallway, living room and dining room. I only considered it for the bedroom because I had samples left over, but I didn’t think I’d like it. It was a little too gray for my main floor, and the green undertones weren’t exciting me either. But the more I thought about how I want my master bedroom to look, the more this color started to steal the spotlight.
Revere Pewter is the most popular Benjamin Moore paint color this year. And it is searched on their website and Facebook page more than any other color. Designers and DIYers alike love the hue. I would say that it is best described as a greige (gray + beige) as it is a definite gray but with warm undertones.
The color looks different in almost every application. I have scoured the internet looking for as many pictures of Revere Pewter painted rooms and no two look exactly the same. On my walls (at least in the small sample I painted) it has a bit of a green tint, but I’m okay with that in the master bedroom. Tomorrow, I am priming and painting the walls (yay!) and I’m incredibly excited to see how it looks in the final application.
My search for the perfect paint color for my first-ever master bedroom has been a labor of love. Hopefully my efforts will pay off and one day my bedroom pictures will serve as inspiration to other paint-color-obsessed renovators. But until then, the head-scratching is over and it’s time to get to work…
