Hi everyone! So I know my last post was about 9 months ago and in that post I said something like, “We’re pretty much done but I’ll keep everyone up to date.” And then I totally…dropped…off for the better part of a year.
Oops. My bad!
I should really get paid for this blog and give myself some accountability! But, alas, I am not and adjusting to life as a new mom has been quite the wild ride. But things seem to be making more sense these days (as the little one is now OVER a year old, what?!?!) and the house renovation is totally complete. Let’s say that last part again – THE HOUSE RENOVATION IS TOTALLY COMPLETE! Whooo! Words, at times, I never ever thought I’d actually say. And hot damn – it feels so good.
You know what else feels good? We sold the house! Wait, what?!
Yup – after all that hard work we decided it was high time we got paid.
A week ago from this very day we accepted an offer from the perfect home buyer, popped open a bottle of champagne and…started crying. Ha! But seriously. There were tears – lots of them.
We’re currently going through the process of inspections, appraisals, and so on. Assuming things happen as they should, our closing date is July first. We will be evicted in exactly 41 days. Oh my god. Just typing that right now is a teeeeny tiny bit scary. Especially because we don’t know where we’re moving to next.
In typical we’ll-figure-it-out-as-we-go form – we literally don’t know where we will live in, apparently, 41 days. “It’s closing time. You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here…”
So while Ian and I wrack our brains, sift through tons of ugly listings, and say countless Hail Mary’s – I’ll leave you fabulous people with some pretty pictures of our post-renovation home. Happy viewing!
So, for real, stay tuned. I pinky swear to keep this blog updated a bit better for the remainder of 2016. I’ve set the bar low for myself, so I should be able to do that – ha! Exciting things are ahead for both my family and this little corner of the internet. Thanks for following us on this journey – I have a feeling that we’re only just beginning. 😉
