Earlier this week we got the (great!) news that we passed our framing inspection – whoo!! This means that we can start closing up our walls. It also means that we have a TON of work to do in the next few weeks. Welcome [back] to the crazy!
Ian and I will be focusing on the second floor master bedroom, bathroom and the little bedroom. We will be hanging drywall until we’re blue in the face. Thank goodness I like that job! Additionally, our contractor will be returning in the near future (a week or two…I hope!) to finish the mini bathroom on the first floor.
The return of our contractor and the impending completion of the half bath means that my entry hallway, a room I’ve virtually ignored, will start coming together soon. I haven’t really thought about how I want to decorate this space, but it’s definitely time to start thinking about it. The area is small, especially with the addition of our half bath, but that doesn’t mean it can’t make a statement. This will be the first and last (and sometimes only!) room that visitors see, so I want it to make an impression. I don’t have a lot of square feet, but that doesn’t mean I can’t make it beautiful and functional.
In an effort to get the ideas churning I have started to do some inspiration research into small, yet amazing, entry hallways. That said, I bring you my favorites…Enjoy!
